ABOUT US

Rainbow Golf Club was founded in 1989 by Liz Ishihara, along with several of her fellow Hughes Aircraft employees. Because many of the original members were Hawaiian, they chose the name Rainbow Golf Club, inspired by Hawaii---the Rainbow State.
From the beginning, the club's mission has been to be a welcoming and socially inviting organization for friends and family who share a love of golf and camaraderie.
Over the decades, the club has grown as members have invited friends to join, and this tradition of referral-only membership continues today. Our membership includes both working and retired folks united by a common enjoyment of the game and the friendships it fosters.
Tournaments are typically scheduled on Sundays, at various So. Cal courses, along with several weekday and weekend outings throughout the year. In addition, an annual weeklong trip is planned, giving members the opportunity to play some of the finest courses across the U.S./Canada. Over the years, the Rainbow Golf Club has hosted over 550 tournaments, on 330 courses, totaling over 16,000 rounds of golf.
Sadly, after more than 30 years of dedicated leadership, our founding member and guiding force, Liz Ishihara passed away in 2021. We are deeply grateful for her decades of service, vision and friendship, and we hope she has found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
